Today we got some news that was a serious kick in the nuts: The United Kingdom has rejected O’s visa request.
We honestly aren’t sure what to do at this point. Dern will be looking in to see if there’s a way he can sponsor O, but he’s not even sure that’s a thing that can happen. As it stands right now, O is not invited to visit any part of England. If anyone knows of a way to help us in this matter, please let us know.
Commissioned will still be represented at London Comic Con, with Dern bringing as big of a table as he can fit in his luggage. We’re still debating if we should do the Ninja Clan Meet-up without O. Ninjas, let us know what you think.

Was o refused entry or rejected? If it’s rejected calling the immigration officers and explaining the situation and showing proof that he has commitments in the US that would show he has plans to return and leave the UK. most rejections are because they fear he would try to stay or work. Id say call them for advice on what to put on the re-application
If someone asks it wasn’t me, but a South African friend told me that it’s way easier to get a schengen visa in France, that you can use to go to UK or any other EU country. Maybe worth a try.
@Jorge,
it is not that easy to get a VISA, beside the UK is doing their own Border Control, so even as a european citizen, you are still checked for your background. I am from germany and i went once to the UK and still had to go through the check what my reasons are to go to the UK.
Very weird circumstances there.
The Schengen Agreement only works for EU nationals only. So, if you are a citizen of a EU country, you can benefit from it but even there you have different rules.
It would probably help more, if there was a citizen with a UK residence, that would sponsor O as a guest and confirms this to the border control.
That’s probably the easiest way to get into the UK for a short stay.
Shinji is correct; the UK is not part of the Schengen Agreement. If there’s anything that can be usefully done from the “inside” by a UK national like me; drop me an email. Good luck, O!
Technically a UK national can sponsor a general visitor but that involves them wanting to know the details of the relationship between the two parties and I’m not sure “I think he’s a cool artist!” will cut it. Sponsoring a business visitor involves demonstrating the relationship between your companies, which again seems unlikely. Exactly what type of visa did you apply for? General tourism, or business visitor?
