    I think miniatures have to be able to fit into however many tiles they take up… so yes, there ARE rules on miniature sizes.
    Though i have seen a miniature that was about a foot tall, it was of some kind of giant dragon thing.

    Actually, the miniatures in Warhammer 40k get to be a ridiculous size. The biggest I’ve seen is a Titan model, and it’s something like 2 feet tall.

    Well, the official ones from Games Workshop are that big, but there are some that are bigger. Take a look at this pic here http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k297/spaggage/TitanSizeComparison-1.png
    however, while the big ones have stats, GW does not have models for them. You have to make your own.
