Interesting drawing. But as you said, not what the comic will look like. I really prefer your washed out gritty style.
Personally I think its a very interesting style, and would love to see a comic done in it. I especially like the coloring.
I was at a store once where they did that thing with the mannequin up in the air duct. You could see it clearly when you passed under the vent. I think it was a seasonal-rent-only Halloween store.
