So it’s Wednesday! Day of the AUDIORANT, isn’t it? Yeah… But I’m aiming to record it with a guest this time, so I’m going to try and record it tonight. If I can’t manage to do that, then I’ll just record it solo like I’ve always done.
In any case, I now find myself officially in COMMISSIONATHLON-mode. What this means is that from next week until the second week of July (or around that time) I’ll be dedicated to producing artwork and not much else. So naturally, the webcomic becomes something a bit worrisome for me in terms of me not being so sure I’ll have enough time to make it and do everything else I’ve got to do. It’s no secret that ever since I brought back the “Dwarf, Elf & Weretiger” storyline and I started coloring it with watercolors that the webcomic has become progressively more and more complex graphically – and I’m not complaining about this! I’ve enjoyed every bit of it and I am definitely satisfied with the results.
But when you take into consideration the time it takes for me to produce each comic and the time it would take for me to produce each art piece in the COMMISSIONATHLON I just don’t see it working out well.
So, I took a look into my bag of ideas and found the Zombie Alphabet, a fun little idea that could last s0mething around the time the ‘Thlon would last and that I could definitely manage to pull off while I’m doing everything else. The idea’s pretty simple: do the whole alphabet. That’s it. 4 letters a day with a couple of days having 5 letters, for the duration of 6 days. As soon as it’s done, they can all be put into a poster or something like that. Of course, 6 days is just like 2 weeks worth of updates. And the COMMISSIONATHLON lasts something around 3 weeks. So after that I’ve still got about another 5 or 6 comics to update and I’ll probably be doing those in pencil. So we’re good.
I realize this is quite a change of pace for people that just what to come and enjoy a nice RPG comic – I mean, 3 weeks of fantasy art speed videos and a different kind of comics might not sit well with everybody. But I hope that at least most of you enjoy the variety. If you don’t, well… thing will be all back to normal in a couple of weeks.
Good hunting;
O

I feel safer already!
Lol. That’s hilarious.
So glad I’m following you on Twitter O! I’d never know about the updates… *Sigh* And I’m now on Twitter. *sadface*
I am so excited about this!
this is gonna be good
great!
Poor Death…
@Cheyenne – ever heard of RSS feeds? I would be guessing they are a tad more practical than twitter, but then again, never had a twitter account so I might be wrong.
Second panel owns, O! That’s how you do a sinister expression!
Why is The Death unemployed ? Zombie are dead, they are killing people, ergo Death has a lot of work.
I love the “cheers mate” expression on death, seems so…content, with his\hers\its coffee break
curser: I think it’s because it’s the Zombie apocalypse, you know, after it has succeeded. As in, no more death, they’re already dead.
I hope you continue with this O, it seems really cool.
@curser & atcote
the zombies are undead… there’s a huge difference… and they don’t kill people, they just turn them into undead too…
this is goint go be great :>
But what if you actually kill a zombie? Does it dies, or, since it’s an undead person, shall it be considered already dead, thus giving no work to Death?
Hum… Sorry for that, I just love silly questions like that one^^
Great work O, I totally agree with Cromell: the second panel is so great!
(BTW, for people seeking a way to learn quickly about uodates, Safari has a “Top Sites” page where you just put like 24 sites, and a blue star pops on them everytime there’s an update, I find it practical, but I don’t know if it goes the same way on Windows)
Awesome ^.^
…the zombies have killed everyone so no one’s dying anymore and death has no more work.. he’s stuck begging for handouts from the rest of the superbeings…
This is a good one.
If you do all of them I see a T-shirt or a poster material here.
O, you should make it into a booklet, when it’s done. Each panel is a page. I’d buy that!
Hurrah!!! And yes, the second panel is made of awesome ^_^
Death will never be out of work because I’m killing zombies left and right, and I have the Zombie Survival Guide with me.
Nothing wrong with variety – I like it! I see this on childrens’ bookshelves in the near future. If you do this, I promise now that I will buy it and read it to my yet-to-be-born offspring.
Hm, your last line disturbs me.
“… thing will be all back to normal in a couple of weeks.”
Isn’t this the ministry of abnormality? How does abnormality get back to normal?
In the Ministry of Abnormality, Abnormality’s the norm!
You should expand the alphabet eventually and make a book! (Yeah, I grew up readying Shel Silverstien’s A-Z book)
Anyway, awesomeness all around! Good luck with the Thlon!
ha ha ha fantastic! i can’t wait for more
Reminds me of Edward Gorey’s Ghastlycrumb tinies. Can’t wait to see the rest!
I could totally sing this alphabet with this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8eFFnJsCjs if you put more letters on it
@Rodrigo and @Xain I’m already hunting down a printer for this.
We’re also thinking about a poster.
@Dern
yay, first thing i thought of when i saw this is “awsome poster potential”
Am I the only one who thought of this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbfdJOCdzLc ? I imagined the tone of the song with the words as the lyrics xD.
