OK, so here we are! Today’s comic is simply about the fireball and how awesome it is. It’s sort of obvious.
But now let me direct your attention towards much more interesting things, because I’ve been sighted in the realm of Lonnie Dinello’s “Almost Normal”. Lonnie, AKA “Despair” is an artist/friend I met last year while I was at Connecticon, and is about as nice and fun to hang out with as I am bald (and that’s quite a bit, mind you). She was responsible not just for entertaining me while I was there, but she was also the angelic woman sent from heaven that introduced me to the delights of MASHED POTATO PIZZA. Ah, Despair… my heart shall forever be yours.
Anyway, after much poking and nudging she started her own webcomic, but beyond that she started to study in fields I wish I could’ve studied – so my envy goes out to her (I mean, she et to the University and is has the option of studying either animation or sequential art… much of the awesome). Still, due to such studies and the facts of life, “Almost Normal” missed a few updates.
Unacceptable.
So again, after some poking and nudging, Despair got back on track with the webcomic and I earned the title of “Scary Little Dude”. I like it. Be sure to check me out then, in “Almost Normal“.

Im currently studying in the lands of no food (great britain) where they eat only crispy stumps of wood drenched in vinegar and salt.
So no mashed potatoes i’m afraid. I could, however, compliment on the panel where elf unleashes the fireball and stroke your ego, hoping that will be enough.

Simply Owesome. Didn’t you get a Wacom tablet not to long ago? I was curious if the new technique had anything to do with getting more comfortable with a stylus. And how are you liking the tablet? Also, just listened to the newest ELR, about died laughing, and you’re right, more masterbating would make the world a better place.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the fireball pic is…. freakin’… AWESOME.
That fireball pic is droolworthy. I love every part of it. It’s as if the rest of the comic was the cartoon and you superimposed a photo of a real live elf that you’re friends with that helped you out with your comic by posing for you.

Wow. But i think you missed an opportunity. If you had Carlos in the same pose as his character, and facing the same direction, you could have made the two panels into a poster with a partial overlay.
Also: “I need not explain the awesomeness of the fireball” would make a great internet meme. I can imagine exchanges such as:
“D00d, you ROXXED at Guitar Hero”
“I n33d not xplain teh AWEsomeness of teh D Chord”

The fireball panel looks nice but.. weird. His arm, the one extended to cast and the way robes go from the torso to elfs arm somehow hurts my sense of depth. I just can’t fight the feeling that while his torso/head, right arm are three-dimensional, his left arm is just on one dimension and is not extending forward at all.

It’s kind of hard to miss that Elf seems to have grown back all the flesh on his hand. Ah, well I’m sure it’s something they solved at the end of their last adventure.
