EDIT 2009-06-02: Added dates!
So, the COMMISSIONATHLON is upon us – starting this Wednesday – and I’m still organizing everything to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.
Below is the complete lineup for this year’s ‘Thlon, every single image that is going to be made during this month (so you all know what to expect). Some are still pending further description from the client, but most of them are ready to go!
I have added the date on which each piece of work will be made – not just so each client can check out their own commission getting made but also because the whole thing is pretty long (it’s a whole month of live video stream) and I’m thinking that very few people will actually be interested in watching the whole thing, all day, every day. So I figure that by posting a complete list of what will get done and when, everybody can just single out what they would like to see and know when to check it out.
Anyway, without further ado, here’s the complete list of artwork commissioned for the 2009 COMMISSIONATHLON:
June 3, Wednesday
“Gerp and Henry”
Basic contents: 2 characters in full color
Description: A WoW-based image; some old dude’s WoW orc with the pet he sexually abuses on a daily basis.
June 4, Thursday
“Silbe”
Basic contents: 1 character in ink.
Description: A WoW-based image; a female Gnome Rogue stands with her wolf pup.
June 5, Friday
“The Night Elves”
Basic contents: 2 characters in full color.
Description: A WoW-based image; 2 Night Elves (male and female) – a hunter (and his pet) and a rogue.
June 6, Saturday
“Thaimor Nailo”
Basic contents: 1 character in full color.
Description: D&D based image; a multiclass fighter/ranger/rogue and his pet cat stand ready for action.
June 8, Monday
“Worlds of Darkness”
Basic contents: 2 characters in full color.
Description: A werewolf and a vampire elf from the “Worlds of Darkness” setting.

“Daniora and Vendetta”
Basic contents: 2 characters in pencil.
Description: A WoW-based image; a female Blood Elf Warlock and a male Undead Warrior.

Description: Modern fantasy inspired, a group photo of the “Corpse Tower” crew, as they prepare for battle inside the actual tower. Sexy, morbid females and freaky men, who would have it any other way?

“Tanktop”
Basic contents: 1 character in grayscale.
Description: Half tank, half robot, half dude. That’s 150% awesome!

“The Golem”
Basic contents: 2 characters in full color.
Description: A Golem stands behind his human creator.

“The skulking Imp”
Basic contents: 1 character in full color.
Description: A WoW-based image; a female human Warlock (skimpy outfit and all!), and her skulking little Imp.
June 19, Friday
“Zohrai and Xafira”
Basic contents: 4 characters plus background in full color.
Description: A WoW-based image; 2 level 80 Night Elves, a feral druid that raids as a dire bear and a restoration druid that raids as a Tree of Life. Both characters stand in the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus in an action pose with their raiding forms behind them.
June 20, Saturday
“Torus”
Basic contents: 1 character plus background (well, sort of) in ink.
Description: A Dwarf stand victorious over a heap of his enemy’s bodies, as he writes down on a parchment how many he’s struck down.

“Steampunk landscape”
Basic contents: A landscape in full color.
Description: A bizarre convoy makes its way slowly towards a large island on the horizon.

NOTE: Dates might be change… not likely, but you never know. Also, please note that on June 10, 11 and 24 there will be no artwork done. This is because I have other engagements that just won’t allow it.

You weren’t kidding – that’s a hell of a lot of WoW this time around.
I figured I have looked at the same character for the last three years, it is time to get a new prespective. Cannot wait!
Wow! What a line-up. I can’t wait to see these, it’s so cool to watch you draw/paint.
I might have to get some commission action next year. Don’t worry it’s not WoW since I don’t play it. I will try and make it different from the WoW stuff.

I wonder if the lack of Paladin commissions correlates with the “poor” looking sets

So – will you finish your backlog of commissioned artwork, before you start the Athlon up?
Or will that be put on hold until afterworths?

@ Peter E: Actually, if you’re who I think you are, I’m working on your commission right now. It’s just… a little large. I should be finishing it within the next few days – but – if you’d like to see me work on it live, I could probably fit that into the regular schedule.

Dont knock yourself out about it. Im glad to hear about the progress, thats really all I wanted to know.
The drawing can wait until the next semester – all the students have gone 0p “study” for the exams.
