That is definitely my favorite!
Didn’t know Sisters can “retire” – thought that, like Marines, they’re in it for life – or longer.
Anyway, great image!
excelent work. One day i will have enough cash to commission a piece for myself. DAMN it looks cool.
@ John: I don’t think sisters can retire in any normal way. They don’t voulantalery leave, they are in it for life. Not longer ike marines, they don’t have dreadnoughts (and thus able to serve after suffering a crippling or deadly wound)- they have penitent engines instead (it has live penitent witches strapped on).
I love your interpretation of Sisters of Battle gear. They have Sororitas Power Armour, witch is basicaly an armour with a limited power source, powered limbs (imagine hydraulic system), often helmets with rebreathers and improved imaging sensors. The Sisters of Battle are imo best looking in Warhammer 40k (love all the details their models have).
I was in fact thinking of comissioning a Sisters of Battle character, before i ran out of time (the thlon was sold out).
O if you have questions about Warhammer 40k , ask I’m pretty sure there is plenty of people hereabouts, that ‘d be happy to answer to the best of their knowledge (me insluded).
http://www.lexicanum.com/ is a good site for alot of things about warhammer 40k
wow
Very interesting work. I’m glad you explained a bit how you make these glowing effects and said something about general indoor lighting and perspective – very useful information
